XWA Fence and On-Site Access Road
Alliance Consulting designed some three miles of on-site access roads for the new airport as well as designing some seven miles of perimeter security fencing. The construction timetable for the airport site was so demanding that all elements were being built at the same time. Delay on any piece could cause catastrophic effect in other areas and cause failure of the airport opening. Coordination on the project was essential to keep all crews working to meet the deadline. The access roads and fence touched every other project on the site. As a result, Alliance developed close coordination with a variety of stakeholders including the FAA, the City of Williston, as well as multiple other design and construction consultants. Alliance Consulting helped the client realize value savings on the project through improved geotechnical design for a significant cost reduction.
Alliance Consulting partnered with aviation infrastructure engineering firm Burns and McDonnell for design, engineering and project management for the Williston Basin International Airport.
